SRM Hospital celebrates Mother and Child Day

Celebrated Mother and Child Day recently to celebrate the success of the TmT Valli
ammai Women and Child Welfare scheme.

TmT Valliammai Women and Child Welfare Scheme was launched in 2014 to reduce maternal mortality rates and infant morta
lity rates by promoting institutional delivery and to compensate for the expenses
during pregnancy. 

It was started initially with a monetary benefit of Rs.10,000 for all mothers who deliver at SRM MCH. The cash assistance has now been increased to Rs.2 0,000 effective from 1st May 2024 deliver
at SRM MCH. The cash assistance has now been increased to Rs.20,000 effective from 1st May 2024.

Ms Manimangai Satyanarayanan, Managing Director, SRM Global Hospitals, addressed the gathering to motivate the mothers to spread the benefits of the Valliammai scheme across the community. Around 200
mothers with newborn babies attended the function. Ms Manimangai distributed the
monetary benefit of Rs.20,000 each to all beneficiaries. This welfare measure is ongoing and is intended to support expecting mothers through various stages.
At the launch ceremony, Ms. Manimangai said, “Apart from this, at SRM MCH&RC mothers can also avail pre & postantal care
. Our Pediatrics service for children is also the best we offer.”
