The 20th (special) Convocation of SRM Institute of Science and Technology
The 20th (special) Convocation of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) was held on 15th November 2024 at the Kattankulathur campus.
A total of 10,848 students from various disciplines, including undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral (PhD) programs in Science and Human ities, Medicine and Health Sciences, M anagement, Law, and Agricultural Sci ences, were awarded their degrees.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was P rof. Mahesh Chandra Misra, Former Di rector of the All India Institute of Medi ical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
In his address to a full auditorium, Pro f. Misra encouraged the graduates to e mbracethepricess of learning, unlearn ing and relearning.
He emphasized the importance of stay ing current in all aspects of life to lead a fulfilling and s uccessful future. He a lso advised them to lead healthy, positi ve lives as they e mbark on their profe ssional journeys.
The convocation ceremony was presid ded over by Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar, Fo under Chancellor of SRMIST, along wi th Dr. P. Sathyanarayanan, Pro Chance llor (Academics).
The Vice Chancellor of SRMIST, Prof. C. Muthamizhchelvan, presented the Ann ual Report, which highlighted the insti tution’s achievem ents and outlined it s future initiatives.
