Story-:
Umapathy (Ashok Selvan), an assistant director in a film, falls in love with Leo (Avanthika), a nurse in a private hospi tal. The two become friends, then love rs, and unexpectedly encounter some problems in their love. How Umapathy overcomes them is a bittersweet story, if we turn it into a boring screenplay, that is what we call a career romance.

Movie Review-
Ashok Selvan has given a memorable performance as Umapathy. It is clear from his performance that this film w as made a few years ago. It is very far behind the way he has handled his ac ting in his recent films. Avantika asst Leo, although she expresses emotions well, has left the fort in lip-singing. K amal Haasan keeps chewing bubble gum throughout the film, just like the comedy chewing bubble gum in Pam mal Ke Sambandam”.
As As hok Selva. n’s father, Alagamper umal has contributed to the usual ang ry father role. Urvashi, who plays the mother, has created a stir as usual. Th e combo of Alagamperumal – Urvashi is enjoyable. Especially Urvashi’s trad emark scenes are present here and th ere in the film. Vijay Varadaraj and Pa x, who play Ashok Selvan’s friends, try to make him laugh a little. Apart from them, there are many TV characters in the film. Faces and director Balaji Tha ranitharan also make a special appea rance.
I don’t know how director Balaji Kesa van thought of giving such an old story to 2K Kids. Whether it is the story or th e twists in the screenplay, everything is in the same template that we are u sed to seeing.
This film, which the director himself failed to save, can only be saved by ci nematographer Ganesh Chandra and editor Jerome Allen. They have also do ne their part. That’s it. The songs in Ni vas K Prasanna’s music are not to the p oint of being audible.
Even though it was a film made a few years ago and the story is an old story, the screenplay could have been a little more interesting. The heroine who mis understands the hero and suspects hi m, the hero who tells lies to deal with it, and the friends who help him are th e usual twists, so the film doesn’t work at all. This film is a big speed breaker for Ashok Selvan’s career, which is ri sing rapidly with Nitham Oru Vaanam, Bor Akshaya, and Blue Star.Forus, Aks haya Romance has been a disappointm ent.
