
Australia showcases its world-class Educat ion and Premium F&B Products at the Festival of Australia event in Chennai.
Chennai, 14 March 2025: The Australian Tra de and Investment Commission (Austrade) organised the second phase of “Festival of Australia,” a first-of-its-kind four-city show case celebrating Australia’s world-class edu cation and premium food and beverage pro ducts.
The second phase, which started in Chenn ai on 14 March 2025, brought together top-quality Australian universities and retail par tners on a single platform.
Following Chennai, the festival will be held in Pune (16 March), Ahmedabad (20 March h), and New Delhi (22 March).
The Chennai showcase provided an invalua ble opportunity for Indian students and pare nts to engage directly with representatives of Australian universities to explore educati onal programs designed to support their ac ademic and career aspirations.
Prospective students gained insights on St udying in Australia by attending the followi ing masterclasses organised as a part of t he showcase:
Academic Masterclass on Artificial Intellig ence (AI) in Construction – Are You Ready for Transformation? presented by Professor Kenneth Tak Wing You, Professor in Constu truction at the School of Built Environment, UNSW Sydney.
Insight Masterclass on Eternal Dilemma : W hat, Where & How to Choose the Right Univ ersity? presented by Ms Bhawna Kumar, Ac ademic Director, Australian School of Globa al Studies which is an extended arm of Edu cation Centre of Australia.
Pep talk with Ms Prabha Dixit, Co-Foun der and Additional Head of School at Akshar Ar bol International School, Alumna from Austr alia’s Monash University. The festival also s howcased an offering of premium food pro ducts including honey, nutrition bars, sauc es, cheese, pasta, sea food, and lamb at the Australia Food pavilion.
Austrade collaborated with Jio Mart to set up an ‘Australia Pavilion’ on theire comme rce platform and Chennai based re tailer A mma Naana to promote a range of Austra lian products at the food pavilion.
Live cooking demonstrations at the fest ival offered guests an opportunity to taste dish es prepared using premium Australian ing redients, providing firsthand experience of the country’s finest culinary delights.
