Story -:
The second part of the 2019 film Lucifer is ‘L2: Emburaan’. Let’s first look at the st ory of the first part of Lucifer. The ruling party in Kerala is IUF. The leader of this party, PK R, has passed away due to ill he alth. PKR h as a daughter (Manju Warrier) and a son (To vino Thomas). PKR has a n immense affecti on for Mohanlal, who i s loyal to him beyond both of them.
In this situation, Manju Warrier’s husband, V ivek Oberoi, uses his father-in-law ‘s positio in to supply drugs in Kerala with th a drugan gang. This causes a problem, w hen Mohan lal appoints Tovino Thomas a s the Chief Mi nister. He also kills Vivek Oberoi and goes i nto hiding. He goes abroad with Prithviraj, who is Mohanlal’s bodyguard. With this, the first part ends. Now let’s come to the secon d part, L2: Empuraan.
During the riots in Gujarat, Abhimanyu Sing h and Suganth Goyal kill everyone in the pal lace, wanting to take over. Prith viraj, who w as a child in that meeting, escapes with the help of his father.
In this situation, Tovino Thomas, who be ca me the leader of the IUF party in Kerala and took over as the Chief Minister, wants mone y and national politics, leaves his father’s I UF party and starts a new p arty with Abhim anyu Singh. He also pre vents his sister Ma nju Warrier from join ing the party. Followin g this, Mohanlal,w ho is abroad, is informed through Indrajit drajith Sukumaran and is su ummoned. What happened after Mohanlal’s arrival ? What happened to Tovino Thomas as’s C hief Ministership? Did Manju Warrier joi n the party or not? Did Prithviraj avenge Abhimanyu Singh, who destroyed his fam mily? The rest of the story of the film is thi s.

Director Prithviraj Sukumaran is shooti ng the film in parts, writing a beautiful screen play and dialogues for the story written by Murali Gopi. Prithviraj has dire cted L2: Emp uraan, a sequel to Lucifer. Many of the acto rs who played in the first part have been in cluded in it. Similarly, the film has been sho t neatly in Holly ood standards with a vibran t screenplay. He has also shot in various co untries a nd given a new visual experience to the fans. He has especially shot the fight sce nes in mass. Since it is a film that show s heroism, the director gives goosebumps t o the fans by showing the scenes where M ohanlal appears in mass. He also gives the lead for the third part in the climax. In that, a flashback about Mohanlal is going to be told.
Mohanlal, who had shown his wonderful per formance as Stephen in the first part, has s hown his amazing performance as Kuroshi Abhiram in this one. The scenes where he c omes and goes in a helicopter in the style o f an international don are amazing. He has also acted in action in th e fight scenes.
Next, Prithviraj’s character has a little more time in this than the first part. In add ition, h is performance in the revenge sc enes is co ommendable. Manju Warrier, w ho plays a p olitician, has given a strong performance. He receives applause in the scenes where he becomes the leader of a political party. Tovino Thomas Kesh walan scores the sco ore with his performance.
Abhimanyu Singh, who plays the villain, is intimidating. Indrajith Sukumaran, Suraj Ve njaramoodu, Suganth Goyal and Kishore ha ve also given their contribution well. Along with them, the performances of internation ional actors Jerome Flynn a nd Eric Ebony a re also enjoyable.
Sujith Vasudevan’s cinematography is magn ificent. He has made the film enjoyable by using wonderful lighting. Deepak Dev’s mus ic is a great strength of the film. The backgr ound music can be praised.
The first half of the film makes the audienc e a little nervous. The screenplay gets bori ng because of the randomness. Also, the s tory falters when it comes to the Gujaratri ots and political developments. However, t he director has pulled the fil m together in the second half and told a thrilling story. T he fact that the film was shot using internat ional standards and modern technologies is an added bonus. Having scenes in many pl aces to show Mohanlal as a mass is an ove rdose. The idea of assaulting the Chief Mini ster and the power point that controls the c entral government seems to violate logic.
