Movie Review -:

A pleasant surprise. A film as fun as a br eeze. This film is the complete opposite of director Ram’s previous films. Ram’s main characters are often bitter people who are angry and distrustful of their fe llow human beings. In this film, all the ch aracters are very good. Most importantl tly, they are not angry or jealous of their fellow human beings; they do not expres ss their helplessness by feeling sorry for themselves or self-pity. From the Duryo dhana mentality of seeing everyone as b ad, he has somehow improved himself t o the mindset of a Dharmaman who beli eves that all humans are good. The two-wheeler adventure of Gokul and Anbu, a father and son who escape from a debt c ollector, stretches like a road trip poem. The people they meet, Gokul’s smiling at titude in dealing with the stubbornness of the cool guy Anbu, makes you want to watch the film again.

The film delivers what we expect from a film by international superstar Mirchi S hiva without any disappointment. But in stead of being aimless counters, it fits th e film and the character and makes us la ugh heartily. At one point, the audience starts enjoying whatever Shiva says. Eve n though the audience gets tired of him running around looking for his son who is running around without stopping and suffering from leg pain, Shiva does not h esitate and deals with it aggressively sa ying, ‘I am proud of you my son!’ and im presses. Ram’s main male characters los e their nature when women go to work.

For example, Vasanth Ravi from Tarama ni. But in the film, Anbu asks his father, ‘I s it wrong for mother to go to work?’ Shi va, the hero of Ram, makes it clear that i t is not wrong for women to go to work. In the substandard film Taramani, Ram would have made fun of his husband wh o doesn’t think it’s a big deal if his wife, who loves dancing, dances with someon e else. But in this film, Ram has portraye d the friendship between fifth-grade frie nds Anjali and Shiva with great sensitivi ty and made them feel excited. But desp ite him, Anjali’s husband Aju Varghese gi ves Anbu a shoe and drops a stupid line before leaving on his TVS 50. Ram could have avoided it, but the audience passes it by as a joke.

Grace Antony, who plays Shiva’s wife, ha s separated from her husband and son li ving in Chennai and has set up a saree sh op in Coimbatore. Ram has also played t he role of the young woman who works with him wonderfully. He has also creat ed the role of the grandmother who com es to the shop to buy a saree and asks fo r a discount, which she appears in just t wo scenes, so that she is unforgettable. Mitul Rayan, who plays the boy with lo ve, has stirred up a storm.

The film can also be seen as a journey in to the inner life of a boy. The differences between the father-son relationship, ho w it was between Shiva and his father B alaji Sakthivelu, and how it is between S hiva and his son Mitul Rayan, are also de picted in the film. In stubbornness, Shiva realizes that his son is the same as he wa s when he was a boy. A one-day road tri p helps Shiva get to know his son better. Ram, who tries to justify his excessive sp ending on a goldfish when his daughter wants a puppy, finds the truth at the en d of the film that ‘parents cannot buy ev erything their children want. But it is ne cessary to spend time with them’. What always makes the audience feel that Ra m’s film is poetry is the visuals and musi c in his film. This film is no exception.

Cinematographer N.K. Ekambaram and Yuvan, who is in charge of the backgrou und music, have made the viewing exper ience of the film enjoyable. Although it s eems like there are many songs through out the film, there are only three songs i n the film! All three have been written b y Madhan Karki from the perspective of a child. Santosh Dayanidhi’s music has h elped maintain the excitement of the fil m.

The child Anbu, who wants to fly away f rom the tight and lonely world, flies alon g with the audience watching the film. T he film gives a very special experience t hat lightens the mind.
