Chennai, March 21, 2025: Kobelco Construc tion Equipment India (KCEI), a subsidiary of Japan-based Kobelco Construct ion Machin ery Co., has reached a signifi cant producti on milestone by rolling out its 20,000th ex cavator at its manufacturing plant in Sri Ci ty, Andhra Pradesh. This facility serves bo th domestic and international markets,reinf orcing India’s role as a key production cente r for Kobelco .

KCEI is also setting up a new R&D facililty in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, aimed at nhancing technology development and product innov ation. This facility will focus on advanced e gineering solutions, customization for varie d market requirements, and further strengt thening India’s postion as a key manufactu uring and innova tion hub for Kobelco.
KCEI manufactures a wide range of excavat ors in India, with an annual production capa city of 3,000 units. The company supplies e xcavators to domestic customers, exports t o more than 16 countries and continues to maintain high-end leadership with over 25% market share.
