Story-:
In a dispute between Kamal Haasan’s gang and the police, Simbu’s father is killed. Sim bu, who lost his father at a young age, is al so separated from his sister in the same di spute. Kamal takes Simbu, who has lost his father, and raises him and becomes the heir to his empire. He announces that Simbu is his successor. At this time, Kamal Haasan is suddenly shoot at.
Kamal, who is injured in this, is admitted to the hospital. He suspects that Simbu did th is. Simbu, who becomes depressed and lo ses his trust in Kamal Haasan. Taking adva ntage of this situation, Nasser, J oju George and Bhagavathy plan to kill Kamal through Simbu. Accordingly, they throw him off the top of the mountain, Kamal dies, and from now on, Simbu takes Kamal’s place by sayin g ‘I am here, Rang araya Sakthivel’. Movie Review-:
As promised by Kamal Haasan, the final pr oduct of Thug Life turned out to be a few hi gher notches than Nayagan. The reunion of the actor and the ace director Mani Ratnam after 38 years was worth the wait. It is not e veryday that a co-actor can steal the thunde r from Haasan but that is precisely the achi evement of STR aja Silambarasan. A gangst ers story has to have many layers and Ratn am has a gala time joining the pieces toget her allowing the fringe actors to play their p art in the collective victory.
It is not new for the Punnagai Mannan to ris e again from the Phoenix of ashes. Sakthiv el is on a mission and every sinew of his en ergy is conspicuous in the way he accompl lishes the revenge saga. The final act of Ha ssan and STR is masterly executed and as STR admits there can be only one winner in such acts. Technicians from overseas too h ave contributed immensely to make it a fea st for the eyes. Ratnam always relies on dar k shades to home in his messages.
Here th e script is a handy tool for the mae estro to explode with all his might and the a venues are one too many. Every actor worth his salt has filled in to lend substance and s olidity to a plot which thickens at every fra me. Songs of A R Rahman are not aptly pict urised, a sore thumb. But then the compose er brings the House Down with his brand of background score in tune with the changing scenario of an oscillating script. The twists and turns may well have done the famous c rime thriller writer James Hadlee Chase pro ud. The one liner dialogues go well particul larly the interval block one from STR which his fans are sure to lap it up. Much line Nay agan, you will keep wondering whether Sha ktvel is a good human being or not. That sh ould be a victory for the team force which h ad got on with the job like a horse with blink ers on. When master blasters are on the job b, perfection cannot be far behind. Never mi nd the few loose ends which only enhances the guessing game!
