Story -:

Prathap (Ayan) arrives in Kuberapuram, a village rich in gold. On his very first day, he clashes with Gowri, who cherishes a specific tree standing in the village’s barren wasteland.

Meanwhile, with the old mine closed, Renu attempts to strike a deal with a Nigerian industrialist regarding a new mine. However, the industrialist insists he will only finalize the agreement if another partner or an heir comes forward.

At this juncture, Prathap arrives, claiming a stake in the gold mine through his father. He reveals the truth: there is no gold in the current mine. Consequently, the tree Gowri loves—which stands atop the actual gold deposit—is completely cut down. Overcome with anger and grief, Gowri appeals to the deity atop the hill but accidentally falls into a cave. There, she utters words that curse the villagers. After she is rescued, the villagers find that whenever they speak, their words come out as songs.

In other words, they can only communicate by singing in a melody. The rest of the story follows the shocked villagers as they try to discover how this happened and how the curse was lifted.

Movie Review -:

Veteran director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao—known for Tamil films like *Apoorva Sagodharargal*, *Michael Madana Kama Rajan*, *Chinna Vathiyar*, and *Kaathala Kaathala*—has delivered this film at the age of 94.

A story centered on a quest for gold demands a fast-paced screenplay, and the director has made the narrative as engaging as possible. Initially, the setting—a village that seems almost alien—might feel unfamiliar, but once the curse takes hold, the audience becomes deeply immersed in the story. Dialogue is heard for only about the first half-hour; thereafter, the dialogue is conveyed through songs. While one might initially wonder about this approach, it soon grows on you as a fresh and enjoyable concept. Although the first half starts somewhat slowly, the director provides a solid, justified backstory that explains the events convincingly. The climax delivers a genuinely emotional impact. Overall, there is no doubt that the film offers a fun and unique experience. As for the cast, the lead actor Ayan and heroines Ahilya and Shalini have performed well.

The supporting cast, including Thulasi, has also done a commendable job. Director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao has skillfully employed his signature style of comedy. He is ably supported by music composer Devi Sri Prasad, whose score is delightful throughout the film.

A unique attempt The climax some logical inconsistencies could have been ironed out. All in all, this “Singeetham” creation is a sweet melody that appeals to everyone; it is a film worth watching for a unique cinematic experience.
