Story -:

Travel stories are delicious. That too the horror journey of a photographer who travels in search of a rare tree in the dense forest is more interesting. Photographer is released with such a plot.

The photographer who goes to take pictures of Ariyamaram gets lost in a dangerous forest. No one can return, the hero Ashraf who stumbles without finding a way out of that dangerous forest, did he escape from there? Did he take the tree he wanted to photograph? No? The picture is the answers to these questions.Ashrapu, who is playing the lead role, has acted so well that you can tell that this is his first film.janan isami Nathan, who is playing the heroine, does not have much work. There are not many scenes.

Aadukalam Naren, who plays the hero’s father, Devi Mahesh, who plays the mother, Karunakaran and Uriyadi Siva, who play the roles of friends, have also added strength to the film by acting according to their accepted roles. It is evident in the scenes that the cinematographer Raees Ahmed has worked with extra attraction as the plot is exciting for the cinematographers. Computer graphics are also an additional strength of the film.

Rajkumar Chandrasekaran has composed the music.Though the songs are natural, he realized that it is our job to bring life to the scenes of this film and worked on the background music and added strength to the scenes.RC Pranav’s cinematography has some flaws in the first half, but he makes up for it in the second half.

The fight training director, Dinesh Subparayan, has been supporting the new hero Ashrab by setting up the action sequences.Keeping it as a photographer’s journey, the director Ashrap has given a film with various themes like personal feelings, struggle for survival and the power of people in times of crisis.

Movie Review -:

Adukalam Naren, who runs a company, is the only son. He is Veera (Ashraf). As photography is filmed, Aladi is fond of it. Adukalam Naren wants his son Veera to take over the company after him. But Veera says that she needs only a few days, she has to achieve something in photography, and after that she will take over the company.

He is desperately trying to take a different photo. Veera is the one who is always clean. He carries hand sanitizer wherever he goes. A person who thinks that everywhere should be clean. It was due to a bitter incident at a young age, when he was separated from his mother.

In this case, while talking to his friend Karunakaran, Veera tells him about a dense forest near Madiketan oasis and thinks that he should go there and find a tree and take a photo of it. Karunakaran learns that no one who has gone into that forest has come back alive, and thinks to prevent them from going there. But Veera insists on going there.

Then, he goes into the forest. Veera, who bypasses the forest guard and enters the forest, learns that strange noises are coming and strange things are happening there. Apart from that, no matter how he tries to go out, he comes back to where he started. After that, Veera realizes that she is trapped inside that forest.

After that, did Veera come out of that forest alive or not? What is happening in the forest? Ashraf, the director and the hero of the film, has given the answer to many questions in the second half in a very thrilling manner.

Director Ashraf, for choosing a different plot in the first film, is commendable. Especially in the first half, the way the background of the characters is set up strongly and the second half turns into a full thriller journey is enjoyable. The anticipation of what will happen next naturally builds with each moment the story moves.

Ashraf, who plays the hero, carries his character very convincingly. He has naturally expressed various emotions without exaggeration, such as his extreme attachment to cleanliness, the tension of being stuck in an unknown place, and the fear of fighting for survival. Especially the fact that he alone drives the story in most of the scenes shows the strength of his performance.

Karunakaran as usual gives the story the humor and lightness it needs with his natural acting. Janani Saminathan, Uriyadi Siva, Adukalam Naren and others have contributed well in their roles. The emotional performance of the actress who plays Veera’s mother is heartwarming in some scenes.

Technically, Raees Ahmed’s cinematography is the biggest strength of the film. He captures the natural beauty of the dense forest and at the same time its mysterious atmosphere in every shot. The color scheme and framing of the scenes further enhance the sense of horror of the film.

Rajkumar Chandrasekaran’s background score is the film’s biggest strength. The impact of music in horror scenes makes the audience travel along with the story. It is noteworthy that calmness and tension have been used as a balance where necessary.

Although the cinematography mostly keeps the pace of the story, it feels like some of the scenes in the first half could have been set a little tighter. But the twists and turns in the second half and the background of the mystery makes you forget that minor flaw.

The specialty of this film is that it has tried to provide a different experience by combining elements of mystery, psychological tension and survival thriller instead of just relying on jump scares like usual horror films.

‘Photographer’ is an attention-grabbing thriller with a unique storyline, quality cinematography, menacing background music and a convincing performance by Ashraf. The film is a cinematic experience that lovers of horror films with a mix of mystery and suspense will surely enjoy.
