Story -:
Police officer Prem is shot dead. In connection with this murder, several of his colleagues—including Kavitha Bharathi, Aasai Bala, and College Vinoth—are arrested. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who plays the role of Prem’s wife—a lawyer herself—is determined to ensure that those responsible for her husband’s death receive severe punishment. On the other side, lawyer ‘Paruthiveeran’ Saravanan argues that the arrested police officers are innocent, not the perpetrators.
The courtroom becomes the stage for a high-stakes conflict: a grieving widow’s quest for justice versus a defense attorney’s efforts to prove the innocence of the accused.
Who actually killed Prem? What lies behind this murder? Are the arrested police officers the real culprits, or are they innocent? The answers to these questions form the rest of the story.

Movie Review -:
For an audience accustomed to seeing police officers and lawyers portrayed as negative characters in most films, this series stands out by presenting them in a positive light.
Director Balaji Selvaraj has crafted a screenplay centered on justice, integrity, and humanism, infusing court proceedings with both intrigue and momentum. By posing the question of who the culprit might be, the director successfully keeps the audience deeply engaged as the events unfold.
In particular, the arguments presented in court and the unfolding mystery behind the case keep the viewer hooked.
‘Paruthiveeran’ Saravanan, playing a lawyer who remains steadfast in his honesty and sense of justice, brings credibility to the role through his natural acting and realistic body language; his understated performance adds significant strength to the character.
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, portraying a woman determined to ensure that those responsible for her husband’s murder are brought to justice, commands attention with her composed demeanor and powerful performance. Other cast members—including Lavanya, College Vinoth, Asaibala, Prem, and Kavitha Bharathi—also deliver excellent contributions to their respective roles.
Vipin Bhaskar’s music resonates perfectly with the emotions of each scene, while Gokula Krishnan’s cinematography complements both the courtroom sequences and the progression of the narrative. Who are the guilty, and who are the innocent? An engaging investigation in search of the truth—*Sattamum Needhiyum 2* (Law and Justice 2).
