Ajith sir would always get emotionally disturbed about news
Flashing on murders, acid attacks, and al l kinds of harassment upon women, and was keen on delivering a strong m essage through Vidaamuyarchi” – Dire ctor Magizh Thirumeni*
Filmmaker Magizh Thirumeni is on clo ud nine rejoicing the positive response fr rom all ends for his blockbuster rele ase ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ starring Ajith Ku mar in lead role. The film has been ga rnering a phenomenal response for va rious reaso ns, particularly for a beau utiful message on a man’s undying eff ort to express his love and care for his woman.
Director Magizh Thirumeni extends h is warmest thanksgiving stating, “My heart full of thanks goes to Ajith Kum ar sir for the trust, he had in me. Duri ng our initi al meetings, he would ofte n tell me that he loves to be a part of a movie that sho ws respect for womanh ood. When he sh ared this idea, I too g ot emotionally incli ned as I grew up in a humble family back ground. What w as more exciting was to get the appro val from Lyca Productions, who were completely supportive of nourishing our idea. To get approval from a prod uction house, which has spearheaded churning out commercial entertainer ers with top league actors was astoni shing. Besides, AK sir’s filmography h as always been a surprising model, wh ere he would often step out to deliver exceptio nal. It has existed from the ea rly stages of career, where after deliv ering a mon strous antagonist role in ‘Vaali’, he left e veryone’s eyes moiste ned as an ordinary man of dreams and ambitions in ‘Mug avari’. Well, it didn’t stop even after reac hing the greatest stature. Following a massive film like ‘Viswasam’, he intentionally chose to be a part of ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’. Ajith sir would always get emotion ally dist urbed about news flashing on murder s, acid attacks, and all kinds of har as sment upon women, and was keen on delivering a strong message through Vidaamuyarchi. Despite all his confi dence, as a director, I felt that he is a star and fa ns expect the larger-than-life moments i n his movies and attem mpted to incorporate those elements in Vidaamuyarchi.
Nonetheless, he cleared off my cloudi ne nss stating that “The script is about prot agoonist Arjun, a normal middle-class m an, who doesn’t prefer violenc e until he i s pushed to the extremity, where no opti ons are left. I am confid ent in my fans, w ho have always enco uraged my attem m pts to deliver a me aningful film.” And no w after the film m’s release, I feel that A K sir was so p recise with his confidence in fans. A di rector’s joy is to find satisf acti on with the results, and I’m emotionally ov er whelmed to receive positive response s from fans, theatre owners, critic and trade circles.”
Vidaamuyarchi is produced by Lyca P roductions Subaskaran, and is witness ing a grand reception all over the wor ld.
