Movie Review-;
The Kumaran (Vaibhav) family, who is a cobbler, along with Anthakudi Ilayaraja, have no income for their group as a whole. Thus, despite their father’s opposition, Vaibhav and Ilayaraja decide to go abroad with one lakh mo ney. For that, those who go to work as drivers locally get involved in a drug smuggling case involving politician ‘Adukulam’ Naren. Vaibhav is arrested as the wanted criminal Dhanapal. Anaka, an immigrant Sri Lankan Tamil girl, helps them to escape from this problem. How Vaibhav and Ilayaraja recover, what trouble Anaka gets into, who is the real Dhanapal, what is the political game behind this kidnapping case, who gets babooned…
Vaibhav, who acted in the template of Friends, Party, Kadhal, came out of it and acted in a film that tells the life of Koothuk artists. While Anthakudi Ilayaraja has scored well as the koot artist, Vaibhav too has done justice to his character to the best of his ability. His action avatar in the second half is believable. Anthakudi Ilayaraja in th e role of the hero’s friend is noticeable in many places. Expect a round as an actor in Tamil cinema. Vaibhav, who comes as a dramatist, remains Vaibhav to us till the end. His acting in several places makes one think that Vaibh av has yet to excel in acting.
Athangudi Ilayaraja, who is Vaibha’s friend, Athangudi Ilayaraja is attracting attention by giving a good perf orm ance. Anaka, who comes as a Sri Lankan refugee, has beautifully expressed the pain of the people and the love th at has sprouted in her. Malayalam actor Joju George is amazing in his style even though he has only two scenes. Other characters have also done justice to the given character. In the first half, debutant director Ashok Veerap pan told Kumaran’s life, the problems he faced and the pain of the Sri Lankan people, but in the second half, he co uld have told more interestingly how Kumaran overcame the problems and the politics he faced.
Cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman has beautifully captured the morning and evening of Rameswarat. Although Santhosh Narayanan’s music is a major strength of the film, it is disappointing that Muthiah’s chara cter’s humor is drowned out in the background score. Although the film is good as a thriller, it is disappointing that the pain of the Sri Lankan people and the pain of the dramatists is not emphasized more.
