It’s time to delve into the legacy of the ultimate king of the jungle, Mufasa: Th e Lion King, now brought to life in Tam il with some of the most popular voice es of the Tamil industry! Following the blockbuster success of 2019’s live-actio n ‘The Lion King’, the visually stunning live-action Mufasa: The Lion King is all set to release on 20th December 2024 a nd a special treat is in store for fans as the Tamil dubbed version presents Ar jun Das as Mufasa, Ashok Selvan as Ta ka, the beloved duo of Robo Shankar a nd Singam Puli who have reunited as P umbaa and Timon respectively, VTV G anesh who will be voicing the younger version of Rafiki and industry veteran M. Nasser joining the team as the voice of Kiros.

“I never imagined I would be part of s uch a prestigious project,” Singam Puli shared. “It was purely accidental. Wh en I first got the offer in 2019, I hesita ted. But my children, upon overhearin g the conversation, insisted that I seize the opportunity. They reminded me th at such chances are rare and urged me to take the leap.”

Puli’s decision to embrace the role has proven to be a game-changer. Voicing Timon has not only brought him imme ense recognition but has also allowed him to connect with a global audience. “The character of Timon is always fille d with positivity and inspires the belie f that hard work is the key to success,” Puli explained. “Whenever I visit educ ational institutions, children often req uest me to deliver lines as Timon. It’s a humbling experience.”

As Puli prepares to embark on this ne w journey with Mufasa: The Lion King, he feels a sense of exhilaration and gr atitude. “Lending my voice to this film is like a tonic coursing through my vei ns,” he expressed. “It’s an honor to be part of such a legendary franchise.” Pu li’s story is a testament to the power of serendipity and the importance of seiz ing opportunities. His journey from a hesitant actor to a global voice actor is an inspiration to all those who dream big.
