A R Rahman to score music for 'Veeramangai Velu Nachiyar' produced by Trends Cinemas' J M Bashir and directed by R Aravintha Raj with Ayisha in title role
A film titled 'Veeramangai Velu Nachiyar' is being made to narrate the valiant history of India's first woman freedom fighter Velu Nachiyar.
Produced by J M Bashir under Trends Cinemas banner and directed by R Aravintha Raj, the movie will mark the acting debut of Ayisha, who will play the lead role as Velu Nachiyar.
'Veeramangai Velu Nachiyar' will have musical score by Oscar-winner A R Rahman. J M Bashir, who is the producer of this film and has played Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar in the movie 'Desiya Thalaivar', plays an important character Periya Maruthu. It is noteworthy that Ayisha is his daughter.
