SEIZURE OF 17.74 KG GOLD IN A JOINT OPERATION OF INDIAN COAST GUARD Chennai 09 February 2023 SEIZURE OF 17.74 KG GOLD IN A JOINT OPERATION OF INDIAN COAST GUARD AND DRI AT MANDAPAM SEASHORE In a joint operation, Indian Coast Guard alongwith DRI, Chennai, seized a gold consignment of 17.74 Kg (Ne t value Approx Rs 10. 5 crore) from Mandapam Seashore while the consignment was being smuggled from Sri La nka by Sea route. Based on an intelligence input from Directorate of Revenue Intelligence(DRI), Chennai, Indian Coast Guard Stati on Mandapam deployed a joint team onboard Interceptor Boat (IB) on 07 Feb 23.
