FIVE FISHERMEN RESCUED BY INDIAN NAVY 5 November 2022 FIVE FISHERMEN RESCUED BY INDIAN NAVY An Indian Navy patrol vessel, INS Bitra rescued five fishermen in the early hours today, who were stranded on their adrift boat off Point Calimere (Kodiakarai) in Tamil Nadu coast due to engine failure. The meeting was co-chaired by Rear Admiral S Venkat Raman, Flag Officer Commanding Tamil Nadu & Puduche rry Naval Area and Rear Admiral TMAA Tennekoon, Commander-Northern Naval Area, Sri Lankan Navy.
