Story-:
Manickam(Samuthirakani) an average man who sells lottery tickets and book s, lives a middle-class life with his wife Su mathi (Ananya) and two daughters and relatives in Kumuli on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. When he is unable to cope with many crises such as the tr eatment of his second daughter’s spee ch impair ment, the cost of his wife’s y ounger brot her’s foreign travel, and t he relocation o f the lottery ticket shop his wife Sumat hi asks him to give her her gold chain an d get money. Mean w hile, an old man, Ma dhava Perumal (B harathiraja), stumbles into Manickam ‘s shop. He tells Manicka am about his worries such as the cost of his daughte r’s delivery, the obligation to give the jewelry he promised at the wed ding, and the medical expenses for his w ife. When he tries to buy the lottery ticket ,the money disappears and he has no choice but to come the next day and gi ve the money and get the lottery ticke t, leaving him to go. Manickam keeps t he old man’s lottery ticket safe. The ne xt day, the old man’s lottery ticket win s a prize of one and a half crore. Manic kam, who is in a state of shock and joy, sets off to Idukki to hand over the lott ery ticket to the old man. Before that, he tells his wife about the lottery prize and goes to Idukki to see the old man, who is preven ted by his wife from giv ing him money to pay off the debt, me eet expenses, and pay for medical exp enses.
Sumathi, who g ets angry at this, tries to change Manick am’s mind by consta ntly contacting her younger brother, r elatives, and a priest. But Manickam d oes not c hange his mind and travels w ithout telling them the det ails of his d estination. In the end, was Manickam a ble to meet th e old man Madhavaperu mal? Was he a ble to give the lottery ti ticket? Or did he listen to the insisten nce of his relatives? What is the reaso n for the police chasin g Manickam? W hat is the reward for tru th and hones ty? This is the rest of the story of the F ilm.

Movie Review-:
Samuthirakani has earned fame as an ho nest and good man with his impecc able performance as Mr. Manickam.H e thinks about any matter calmly and calmly and decides on his own without giving in to his wife’s wishes, switches off the pho ne when he is under pressu re, tells his daughter his flashback sto ry on the phone and shows the streng th of honesty, and finally rejoices at th e old man’s happiness.
He makes the old man Madhava Peru m al feel the pain of poverty together with his experienced acting.
Ananya has shown a wonderful contra st between the two characters, first ma int aning restraint as the wife Sumathi and then persistently trying to convinc e her husband. Especially when she th reatens her daughters and calls her hu sband back, she gives him shock treat ment at the place where he is eating by asking him t o serve food without taki ng it.
Thambi Ramaiah, who is a bit of a joke r in the name of comedy, Ilavarasu as Periappa, Nassar as Vappa makes you move in some scenes, Chinni Jayant as Padari a, Vadivukkarasi as Bharathira ja’s wife, Gracy, Karunakaran, Sunilku mar, Chand ru, Sams, Sriman and man y others have acted with understandin g of their roles even though they have a short time.
Vishal Chandrasekhar music and back g round score are the strength of the fi lm .
Cinematographer Sukumar has displa yed his talent in the visual angles such as t he scenic views of Kumuli and Idu kki, the bus journey, the lottery shop, Manikka m’s house, and the chase sce nes.Art dire ctor Saha{ and editing Gu na have done a perfect job.
Director Nanda Periyasamy has given t he story of Thiru. Manikkam based on t he lottery ticket with the image of the fi lm Bumper starring actors Vetri and Ar ish Peradi. Director Nanda Periyasa my has vividly and beautifully portray ed th he test of integrity of a common man who fears his conscience and live s with a high intention not to repeat th e mistake he made in his youth, and ha s also given him a reward for it.
Overall, Thiru.Manickam, produced by GP Rekha Ravikumar, Chintha Gopala Krishna Reddy and Raja Senthil on be half of GPRK Cinemas, is a journey of a mbition and search that tests honesty by over coming obstacles.
