Enchanting Malaysia: Tourism Seminar & Ei d Fest 2025 – A Resounding Success

Tourism Malaysia is delighted to announ ce the successful conclusion of the Ench antin ng Malaysia: Tourism Seminar & Eid Fest 2 025, held on 29th April 2025 at the Hyatt Re gency Hotel, Chennai.

This exclusive event showcased Malaysia’s rich and diverse travel opportunitiees and fostered meaningful collaborations with key stakeholders in the travel industry.

Event Highlights:

The seminar brought together Malaysia n product owners and prominent travel prof essionals from Southern India, creating a dynamic platform for networking and col laboration. Attendees explored exciting travel opportunities and engaged in enric hing discussions aimed at furth ther stren gthening the ties between Ind ia and Malay sia.

Adding to the evening’s significance was the joyous celebration of Eid, a festival s ymbolizing unity, gratitude, and sharing g. Guests were treated to a festive atmo sphere that reflected the spirit of Malay sian hospitality, featuring traditional Eid delicacies, cultural performances, and a n opportunity to experience the warmth of Malaysia’s multi-ethnic traditions.

Southern India’s robust flight connections were highlighted as a key driver of Malaysia a’s tourism growth. Current conne ctivity includes:

• South India: 153 weekly flights

• Chennai (MAA): 40 weekly flights

Mr. Hishamuddin Mustafa, Director of Touri sm Malaysia Chennai, emphasized the strat egic importance of the Indian market, statin g:

The event also served as a platform to ann ounce the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 ( VMY2 026) campaign, which will celebra te the vib rant culture, diverse landscape s, and rich h eritage of Malaysia while em phasizing sust ainable tourism. Tamil Nadu travelers will h ave the chance to disc over Malaysia’s tre asures, from lush rain forests and pristine beaches to dynamic cities and colorful fest ivals.
