Story -:
Kalaiyarasan – Priyalaya couple are runn ing a YouTube channel under their own name. They live comfortably with the in come they get from their YouTube chan nel, which has more than 3 lakh followe rs. Suddenly one day their YouTube chan nel is deleted, leaving them without any income. They are stuck in debt problem s. At that time, a mysterious person who contacts them over the phone says that they are running a reality show, and if th ey participate in it and win, they will get crores of rupees. At the same time, the p erson who imposes many rules, includin g not telling anyone about this reality sh ow, says that this competition between the couple must be played at their home for 7 days, that if they win the tasks give n, the prize money will increase, and if t hey fail, they will lose the prize money t hey won.
The couple, who participate in the myst erious person’s competition for their fin ancial needs and to recover from their d ebt problem, initially win simple compet titions and win a few lakhs, but they enc counter unexpected problems in the sub sequent competitions. What are they? What problems are arising in their lives as a result? ‘Trending’ is about telling th e consciences of those who make money through social media in a way that shake s them.

Movie Review -:
Kalaiyarasan, who plays the hero, and P riyalaya, who plays the heroine, have lif fted the entire film with their perform a nces. The screenplay and scenes, which are designed around the conversations and emotional moments between the t o of them, have been interestingly move d by their natural acting.
After a long gap, Kalaiyarasan has recei ved praise for using his acting skills very well. Kalaiyarasan, who has acted throu gh his eyes without speaking in many pl aces, attracts attention by showing exce llent performance in places where his ch aracter’s characteristics change.
Actress Priyalaya, known for her dancin g, has made a mark as an excellent actre ss in this film. She has competed with th e hero in a role that is equal to her, and c aptivates the audience with her emotio nal performance. Although it is a small r ole, Prem Kumar’s character and his per formance have added strength to the sc reenplay. The presence of Besant Nagar Ravi, Vidya Borgia, and Shivanaya has h elped the screenplay turn.
Although the story takes place in the sa me house, cinematographer Praveen Bal u, who has shown differences in the sce nes through different angles, has shot th e scenes in a way that the emotional per formances of the characters attract the attention of the audience. The songs an d background music in the music of com poser Sam.CS have added additional str ength to the film. Sam.CS, who has avoid ed stutters and handled the background music in moderation, has given the voice of the mysterious person and his entry n otes in a way that attracts attention.
The editor Nagooran Ramachandran ha s edited the scenes in a lively manner in some places and in many places in accor dance with the guesses of the audience.
Many people who earn money through social media including YouTube are usin g various strategies for it. In particular, i n addition to sharing their daily life inc idents, there is a problem of sharing som e private things. Sivaraj has written and directed the film in a way that is not just a warning to such people but also a war ning bell.
Although the film initially moves intere stingly with the sudden deletion of the c ouple’s YouTube channel, the invitation to a reality show at that time, and the pr oblems that arise from it, the audience c an guess all the problems that the coup le will face. However, the second season of the competition that starts after Pre m Kumar’s arrival and the tasks given to the couple in it are shocking.
Although the story takes place in one pl ace and the problems that arise betwee n the husband and wife through the com petition seem to be guessed, the screen play is somewhat dull, but the performa nces of Kalaiyarasan and Priyalaya mak e the film a little enjoyable. Overall, it is difficult to become popular for ‘Trending’.
