Movie Review -:
Sadasivam Chinnaraj, who has done two jo bs as a director and hero in his first film, ha s acted in a way that does not even recogni ze the identity of the first film. Sadasivam, who has not only been as sim ple as the boy next door in appearance but also in acting, has easily won people’s hearts. Sadasivam, who has skillfully handled the role of those who buy the thin gs they want in monthly in stallments and then suffer, has brought ba ck old memories for many who have gone through such periods through his acting.
Although Sai Tanya, who plays the heroine, does not have much opportunity, she has perfectly played the role of revealing that the main reason why men get stuck in mon thly installments is women in m any ways, such as girlfriend and wife, and she has al so played the role of a good wife who stan ds by her husband in a difficult situation and faces the problem.
Director Perarasu, who plays the heroine’s father, does not speak even enough in the film to speak on stage, which is a great dis appointment to his fans.
Senthi Kumari, who plays the hero’s mother r, comes and goes as usual. The comedy of Black Pandi, who plays the hero’s friend, an d Sun TV Aadhavan, who plays the monthly installment collector, make s you laugh. O. A.K. Sundar, Lollu Saba and othar also mak e an appearance.
With music by composer Srinath Pichai and lyrics by director Perarasu and Vivek, all the songs are commercial genres. The back gro und music is also no slouch.
Cinematographer Francis, who has presese nted the film in a colorful manner, has taken great care of the hero since he is a newcom mer.
Although we know what is going to happen at the beginning of the film, editor R .Ramar easily conveys the emotions of the charact ers to the audience and make s them beco me one with the film.
Director Sadasivam Chinnaraj, who has not made the screenplay a propaganda film, wh ich describes the dangers that t hose who e njoy many facilities through monthly install alments face when they a re unable to pay them, has told many th ings to create aware ness among those w ho have not faced suc h experiences.
Not only does he tell how middle-class fami amiles are suffering due to bank loans, but he also brings many good things along with the screenplay, such as the Tamil Nadu gov ernment scheme to provide free treatment of up to Rs. 1 lakh in priv ate hospitals to th ose who get into accid dents on national hig hways, and the nee ed to w ear helmets, ma king it not only a n enter taining film but als o a useful work for the people.
Overall, ‘EMI’ (Monthly Installment) is a film that people should definitely watch.
