Story-:
The story kicks off with a dramatic twist: the protagonist, Vijay (Ashok), walks straight into a police station covered in bloodstains. He calmly surrenders to the senior officer on duty, Yugan, confessing to two murders. Vijay claims to have killed both Pooja (Nisha)—the woman he deeply loved—and the hired assassin sent by her wealthy father to kill her. Although Vijay confesses readily, Officer Yugan becomes suspicious, noting several inconsistencies in his statement. As the investigation intensifies, it becomes clear that Vijay is no ordinary man and that his past holds many mysteries. Through Vijay’s friend, an auto-rickshaw driver named Raja (Arjuna Duraisamy), and a doctor named Aravindraj (Aravindraj), Inspector Yugan learns that Vijay suffers from a peculiar psychological condition: if someone repeatedly insists that he committed a specific act, he begins to believe it as his own memory and confesses to having done it.

The investigation then shifts focus to the true identity of Pooja—the woman Vijay claimed to love—and the nature of the relationship between them. The inquiry also brings two other women into the picture: Sanghavi (Maha), who is closely linked to Vijay’s past, and Simu Advani (Deepti), another key figure behind the entire chain of events. Did the murders Vijay confessed to actually take place, or is he staging a charade to protect someone else? …or questions arise regarding the connection between the establishment and this case. The courtroom scenes, featuring Y.G. Mahendran as the judge, heighten the intensity of the case. In the second half of the story, a massive conspiracy behind Pooja’s murder comes to light. Was Vijay’s surrender truly motivated by revenge, or was it to reveal a major truth to the police? What actually happened? That forms the suspense of the film.

Movie Review -:
Ashok carries the entire film on his shoulders in the lead role of Vijay. He captures the audience’s attention right from the opening scene, where he calmly surrenders at the police station. He effectively conveys a wide range of emotions—from romantic moments and instances of overwhelming guilt to outbursts of aggression. A highlight of his performance is his ability to maintain the character’s enigmatic aura until the very end of the film.
Nisha delivers a moving and natural performance as Pooja, a character pivotal to the story’s progression. The characters of Maha and Deepti serve as turning points in the narrative, significantly heightening the suspense; both actresses deliver polished performances despite their limited screen time.
Yugan, appearing as the investigating police officer, evokes the image of a real-life cop through his commanding presence and firm dialogue delivery.

The interrogation scenes where he clashes with Ashok add to the film’s intrigue, and it is through his perspective and investigation that the plot takes several unexpected turns.
Y.G. Mahendran brings a seasoned touch to the courtroom scenes as the judge, adding the necessary legal gravity to the case.
Thirumaran Mohandas portrays Rajapandian with commanding body language; the character is crafted and enacted with great impact, all while preserving the story’s suspense. The character of Rajapandian plays a crucial role in intensifying the suspense and the gravity of the case within the non-linear screenplay.
Alongside them, Aravindraj, Siva, and others have also contributed effectively to the film. Cinematography – Venkatachalam Singaravelan: He has effectively crafted the visuals and tone required for a thriller through his camera angles. The lighting setups used—particularly during police station interrogation scenes and night sequences—significantly enhance the impact of the scenes.

Shaik Khader’s background score plays a vital role in heightening the story’s tension and mystery. The songs are seamlessly integrated, flowing naturally with the narrative.
Editor Karthi Pandian has managed to assemble the screenplay—which shifts between past flashbacks and the present-day investigation—without causing much confusion. However, the duration of certain scenes in the second half could have been trimmed.
Direction – Nedumaran Mohandas: Starting as a realistic confession by a criminal, the story evolves into a suspense film revolving around multiple complex characters, avoiding the typical path of a standard thriller. The film’s non-linear suspense-thriller opening and the pacing of the first half are commendable. However, the introduction of numerous subplots in the second half meant that not all questions were adequately answered by the climax, which stands as a shortcoming in the direction.
Director Nedumaran Mohandas has attempted to deliver a compelling suspense thriller rather than following the conventional commercial cinema route. Despite occasional lulls in the screenplay, he has successfully maintained the pace and mystery essential to a thriller throughout the film. Produced by Thirumaran on behalf of Riya Shree Creations, the film is, in essence, a thrilling journey in search of the truth hidden behind a sensational public confession.
