Story-:
Rishikanth, the hero, who leaves the town for Dubai due to love failure, comes back to the town after five years, and marriage arrangements are made without his knowledge. He agrees to the marriage due to the compulsion of his family. He and heroine Anishma Anilkumar are getting married.
Rishikanth tries to open up to his wife on Motha Ratri. But Anishma tries to run away with her lover. After getting to know the matter, what decision did Rishikanth take?, is his married life a success? Or is Anishma’s love successful? ‘Modha Rathiri’ tells the real life of the village people and jokes.

Movie Review -:
Director Raja Karpuswamy has narrated the story by depicting the events happening in the marriage house in a natural way and the happiness, sadness, expectation and conflict of the relationships close to the truth, and makes you laugh and think at many places.
Rishikanth, who plays the hero, has acted in such a way as to give hope that the hero will solve the shortage. The character of Marudu who has added strength to the screenplay by playing the role of Marudu, has expressed his feelings in the right way while remaining silent in many places.
Anishma Anilkumar, who is playing the heroine, after ‘Jail’, is back with a compelling character and is getting appreciation. Although he spoke less in the first half of the film, he did not speak for the entire second half of the film, but in the final scene, he expresses his frustration and cries and receives applause.
Chethan, Bux, Sangeetha Balan, Banupriya, Varshini Karmegam, Abdul Lee, A. Venkatesh and others who have acted in the film have added great strength to the screenplay by expressing their feelings as village people rather than as actors. The one who gives the feeling of traveling to a wedding event and wedding house, handles the night scenes very well and attracts attention.
All the songs in Bharat Shankar’s music are arranged to express the plot and emotions of the characters. The scenes are enlivened, even though the music of some songs is stuck in the background music.
Even though it is a story that takes place in a day, the film editor Ashok Arjunan, who has arranged the scenes in an elegant manner and has made the film without changing the nature of the story, has done a good trick of diverting the attention of the audience to all of them, even though there are many characters.
Although the story begins with a wedding event and ends with Motha Rathri, the director Raja Karpusamy, who has analyzed human minds during that time, has talked about many things including love superficially and humorously, but has spoken deeply in the minds of the audience.
The way the characters are crafted and treated, and the way the events unfold in a matrimonial home are depicted in a close to reality is appreciated as a work beyond the usual commercial cinema.
All in all, ‘Modha Rathri’ is the title itself, the film is for all types of people.
