Story-:
Director Karthik Naren, who made his directorial debut with the acclaimed D ruvangal 16′, could not deliver the righ t kind of success despite getting good b anners and actors like Arun Vijay’s Ma fia produced by Sathya Jyothi Films an d Dhanush’s Maran produced by Lyca Productions. His much-awaited ‘Narag asooran’ did not hit the screens and ex pectations were high for ‘Nirangal Mu ndru, which is releasing after a long hi atus
The story revolves around three chara cters – an aspiring director (Atharva M urali), a corrupt and crooked cop (Sar ath Kumar) and a teacher (Rahman), t he father of a good daughter (Ammu A bhirami), who goes missing. Director Karthik Naren’s films have al ways suffered from a considerable lac ck of storytelling. Following Mafia and Maran, he continues to deliver a dull a nd boring story in this film. After a cer rtain extent of the first half, one starts wondering what the real role and sign nificance of these lead characters is. T he story is very weak, and so are the c haracters. The only impact is the disap pearance of Ammu Abhirami’s charac er, but the final revelation is very hard and harsh.
The story is mainly based on the. effec ts of drugs, which is commendable, but the way it is narrated, does not add an y engagement.
Technically, the BGM by Jakes Bijou is good at some places, and the visuals a re okay.
None of the actors shine a light on the mselves. It is really questionable what made Atharva Murali choose this scrip t, so Sarath Kumar. It seems like actor Rahman blindly accepted the opportu nity as Karthik gave a breakthrough in Dhruvangal 16. Online Movie Streamin ng Services.
Overall, Nirangal Munru is not at all engaging and starts testing your patie nce after it leads to a dull climax.
