Chennai, November 2024 – This Childr en’s Day, Raindropss Charity Foundat ion, a renowned non-profit organizati on dedicated to social impact and incl usivity, along with Anandam and VGP Ullaga Tamil Snagam is set to host its annual “Vaanamae Ellai” initiative, a unique flight trip experience designed for 30 children from shelter homes, in cluding Sevalaya NGO, Anandam Edu cation Centre, Anandam Special Scho ol, CHES Ananda Ilam, as well as mem bers from marginalized communities, such as transgender individuals from Thozhi NGO and the visually challeng ed.
This year, the journey will commence from Chennai Airport on November 1 4th, culminating in Salem, where Dr. B rindha Devi IAS, District Collector of Salem, will warmly welcome the child ren at Salem Airport. This special occa sion celebrates inclusion, dreams, and possibilities, with esteemed personali ties accompanying the young travelers to make it an unforgettable journey.
Adding to the inspiration are Dr. Sulta an Ahmed Ismail, a prominent Organic Scientist and Member of the State Plan ning Commission, Music Director and Goodwill Ambassador of Raindropss A .R. Raihanah, Raindropss Founder and Managing Trustee Aravind Jayabal, alo ng with Raindropss trustees and mem bers. Together, they will share this me morable journey with the children, mo tivating them to believe that anything is possible.
Upon arrival in Salem, the group will head to Yercaud, where an overnight stay and a visit to several scenic attrac tions await. The itinerary includes Yer caud Boat House, Shervoys Point, Peek u Park, and other attractions, offering the children a refreshing and educatio ional outdoor experience. The journey concludes with a scenic train ride back to Chennai on November 15th.
The annual “Vaanamae Ellai” initiative is a testament to Raindropss Charity F oundation’s unwavering commitment to social inclusion and uplifting those in need. This journey will inspire these young hearts to dream big, giving the m em the message that boundaries are only as real as they allow them to be.
