AIR FORCE STATION TAMBARAM TO HOST THE SEVENTH ARMED FORCES VETERANS DAY Minister of State for Defence Shri Ajay Bhatt is expected to be the Chief Guest for Seventh Armed Forces Veterans Day to be held at Air Force Station, Tambaram. The Tri-service annual event is cel ebrated to recognise the contribution of veterans who served the nation. On this very day, on 14 Jan 1953, the First Indian Commander in Chief (C-in-C) Indian Army-Field Marshal KM Cariappa, the one who had led Indian Forces to Victory in the 1947 war, had formally retired from Services. The Day is celebrated as Armed Forces Veterans Day and dedicated to our esteemed Veterans.
