Chennai, August 9, 2025 — For over a decade, they worked quietly and tirelessly behind the scenes in the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme, ensuring patients across 14 districts received timely claim approvals — even during floods, the peak of COVID-19, and other crises.
On August 5th, their world collapsed. The government insurance agency abruptly reduced MD India’s allocation from 14 districts to just 4, with no clear explanation.
