Story-:
Bhavani (Madonna Sebastian), her mot her, sister (Abhirami), two sisters, and grandfather (OG Mahendran) take out a loan and start a hotel under the nam e ‘Vellaikaran Biryani’. The MLA Aadhi
kala Raj (Madusudhan Rao), who orde rs the hotel, cheats them by not paying them. So, when a fight breaks out, Aad hikala Raj beats up Bhavani’s family a nd the hotel. Lawyer Poonkundran (Pr abhu Deva) files a case against the sam e Aadhikala Raj, who creates fake med ical insurance in the name of the poor and prepares fake medical bills and e mbezzles crores. In this situation, Bha vani’s family comes to the hotel where Poonkundram is staying to ask for hel p. But he is found dead there. To escap e the murder, they escape from the ho tel with Poonkundram’s body. Shakti Chidambaram’s film ‘Jallio Gymkhana’ answers questions like who killed Poo nkundra and whether the culprit, Aad ikalam Raj, was punished, with four lo ads of logical holes.

Movie Review -:
Prabhu Deva, who is alive only for one court scene and two songs, is ‘bent ov er’ like a corpse in other scenes. In so me scenes, his body language (!) satir es are comforting. Otherwise, there is no big deal. Madonna Sebastian carrie s the entire film with her speech. Her tension and timing comedy are only u seful for a few seconds, but in other sc enes, her overacting makes the meter box explode.
Although the same lines apply to Abhir ami, he makes you laugh for a few mor e seconds. All the characters like Yogi Babu, John Vijay, Robo Shankar, Sai De ena, Sakthi Chidambaram come, talk a nd act in an overdose. O.G. Mahendran and Madhusudhan Rao are comforting ing. M.C. Ganesh Chandra’s cinematog graphy only has greenery in the Kodai kanal scenes. In some places, the serial ism peeks through Rama’s editing. The songs in Ashwin Vinayagamoorthy’s m usic did not work. His background mu sic also did not stick in the mind.
Taking the online format of a corpse, f our women, and chasing problems, di rector Shakti Chidambaram has made a great effort to make people laugh for 2 hours with the abdication of respon sibility of ‘Don’t watch the logic, just w atch the comedy’. Although the film h as the story required for a comedy fil lm, namely a scheming family, various villains, a big task, and a social messa ge at the end, the film crew has bored the audience with an unreliable screen play and layers of old-fashioned word comedies.
The entire film is burdened with dialo gues, with all the characters overac ti ng in the same way, talking side by sid de, and playing with each line by givin ving a counter to each line. Only a few ideas, such as the way the puppetry is combined with the final scene, some p olice officers clinging to caste, and a fe w dialogues, provide a little laughter.
Overall, this ‘Jolio Gymkhana’ has com e across as a mediocre gymkhana,b de void of logic and humor.
