MADAM WEB – ENGLISH MOVIE REVIEW
Madam Web movie based on Marvel comics starring Dakota Johnson. Everyone knows the superhero character Spider-Man. Currently, Sony owns the rights to Spider-Man and all related characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At this stage, Sony plans to create a new cinematic universe centered on characters related to Spider-Man. Venom is the only film released in that genre that has been somewhat successful. Otherwise, the movie Morpheus was a flop. Another film called Graven the Hunter is also coming out. In this case, the movie Madam Web was released.
Sony plans to make Madam Webb a strong character similar to Doctor Strange in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In that way, the movie Madam Web has been released as the origin story for that character. A pregnant woman travels in search of a mysterious spider in the Amazon jungle. After a long search, the woman who catches the spider is shot by the person who was her bodyguard and escapes with the spider.
The critically injured woman is rescued by the foresters, but dies soon after giving birth. Dakota Johnson plays the lead role of newborn Casey/Madam Webb. Growing up and working as an ambulance driver, he gets the power to see the future in an accident. Casey/Madam Webb learns that the man who killed his mother is out to kill 3 other young women, and tries to save them. Whether he succeeded and how he got his powers is the rest of the story.
The major plus point of the film is Dakota Johnson playing Casey/Madam Webb. He has shown the hard work required for his character to the extent possible. They have set up a normal storyline as far as they try, without any large amount of graphics. At the climax, the fans have become one with the film. Especially compared to not just some of the recent Marvel movies, but superhero movies in general, Madam Web seems like a generous 2 hour sit-down.
Trying to convey most of the important points through mere verses is boring. Specifically, what is the background of the villain who has Spider-Man’s powers? What is his purpose? There is no clarity.
Lately, he is the same regular villain in Hollywood films and takes a beating. When it comes to superhero movies, audiences go to theaters expecting action scenes. However, the film only features very substantial action sequences. After the film is over, any character other than Dakota Johnson doesn’t stick out in the mind.
Unlike Morpheus, MADAME WEB is a film that deserves to be seen in theaters once in a while.
