Movie Review-:

Director R has moved the story emotionally and briskly as a talented young man who lives with dreams to achieve, loses his life because of wrong friendship and gets trapped in the world of drugs and his struggle to recover from it and win his future. Venkataramanan. The greatest strength of his movement is that it brings much-needed awareness to the society through an interesting screenplay, without any propagandistic nature anywhere.

Ashwin Viswanathan, who plays the protagonist, captures the attention by portraying every emotion of his character very naturally. A young man’s dreams, mistakes, heartache and struggle to bounce back are all faithfully conveyed by his performance.

All the actors including Rajesh, Ramasamy, Tanuja, Lithira, Ari Karan, Yogesh have fully realized their roles and the emotional scenes of the film get stronger. It is noteworthy that each character plays an important role in the flow of the story.

Cinematographer Kandaswamy Gopal captures the mood of the scenes beautifully and conveys the feel of the thriller perfectly to the audience. The color selection and framing of the scenes give the film a unique look.

All the songs rendered by music composer Meera Lal blend naturally with the story and leave a lasting impression on the mind. The background music makes each suspenseful moment more lively and gives extra depth to the emotional scenes. Songs and background score are one of the biggest strengths of the film.

As the editor Thisyan Sarathi has compiled the scenes at the necessary pace, the film never gets tired and travels interestingly till the end.

All in all, ‘Muthakanal’ is not just a movie but a commendable work that conveys an important social awareness message to the audience with a strong screenplay, excellent performances and quality technical aspects. The perfect blend of suspense, emotion and social responsibility, this movie is a must-see for fans of all walks of life.
