Movie Review -:

Isakki Karvannan, playing a police officer, delivers the composed performance required for his role. However, despite being the film’s protagonist, it is disappointing that he has limited screen time and few opportunities to truly showcase his acting prowess.

Abi Nakshatra stands out as a recognizable face in the film. Her introductory scenes and the build-up surrounding her character create high expectations. Unfortunately, the fact that her character fails to make the anticipated impact during key plot twists becomes a weakness of the film.

Praveen Palanisamy, playing the teacher who is murdered, commands attention despite his brief screen presence. The late Selvakumar also impresses in his role as a police officer. The comedy sequences featuring Kadhal Sukumar do not quite land effectively. The supporting cast has also performed their roles adequately.
Director Kittu has set the film against the backdrop of a hill village in the 1970s. He addresses issues such as injustices against women, the strength of women fighting back, a mysterious murder, and the secrets hidden behind it. While the screenplay is engaging in parts, it becomes confusing in others.

Although a mysterious atmosphere is established throughout the first half, the slow pace of the screenplay tests the audience’s patience. Many questions remain unanswered in the second half as well. It is particularly disappointing that the film concludes with a teaser for a sequel without explaining crucial plot points in the climax.
Cinematographer Sibi has beautifully captured the natural splendor of the hilly terrain.

While music director Deesan’s background score supports the narrative in places, it fails to create a significant impact.
