SEIZURE OF 17.74 KG GOLD IN A JOINT OPERATION OF INDIAN COAST GUARD Chennai 09 February 2023 SEIZURE OF 17.74 KG GOLD IN A JOINT OPERATION OF INDIAN COAST GUARD AND DRI AT MANDAPAM SEASHORE             In a joint operation, Indian Coast Guard alongwith DRI, Chennai, seized a gold consignment of 17.74 Kg (Ne t value Approx Rs 10. 5 crore) from Mandapam Seashore while the consignment was being smuggled from Sri La nka by Sea route. CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF VISITS NAVAL AIR SQUADRON AT CHENNAI

CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF VISITS NAVAL AIR SQUADRON AT CHENNAI Chennai  11 January 2023 Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of Naval Staff arrived at Chennai on 11 January 2023. The Admiral was received by Rear Admiral S Venkat Raman, Flag Officer Commanding Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Naval Area (FOTNA) in the Indian Naval Air Station (INAS) 313 at Meenambakkam, Chennai. The Chief of the Navy interacted with officers, sailors, veterans and defence civilians of the area. The Chief of Naval Staff later held discussion with FOTNA. INDIAN NAVY SIGNS MOU WITH SRM UNIVERSITY CHENNAI Chennai 11 January 2023 Two Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) were signed with SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IS T) on 11 Jan 23. The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Mrs. Kala Hari Kumar, President Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA), R Adm B Sivakumar, ACOM (IT&S), Sh C. Muthamizhchelvan, Vice Chancellor SR M IST, Dr S. Ponnusamy, Registrar, Deans and faculty members of SRM IST.  The first MoU was signed between Mrs. Kala Hari Kumar, President NWWA and Sh C. Indian Coast Guard Station Mandapam seized 300 kgs Chennai 01 January 2023 Indian Coast Guard Station Mandapam seized 300 kgs Sea Cucumber in an anti-poaching operation Based on an intelligence input, Coast Guard Station Mandapam deployed its team to Attangarai sea shore (15 Nm west of Pamban Lt) and seized 300 kgs Sea Cucumber worth Rs 1.35 crore. The smugglers fled the scene on sighting the Coast Guard team.
