Story -:
Saravanan (Arjun Das) and Mitra (Anna Ben) are running a hotel in the neighboring state. Along with them, Janaki (Vadivukarasi), Jackie (Yogi Babu) are also working in that hotel. Mitra’s son is played by the child star Akhilan who starred in Kot. In the very beginning of the film, someone kidnaps Jeeva (Akilan) from school.
The whole family is shocked when they see who the kidnapper is through the school’s CCTV. Who were they all 7 years ago? What kind of scams were they doing? Now who is threatening them by kidnapping the child? Did they save the son in the end? No? That is the story of this Con City movie.

Movie Review-:
Director Harish Durairaj has made the film as a story like if Sivakarthikeyan’s Doctor and Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Bhaskar were mixed. Wherever there is a reference to Korean Old Boy in the film itself, the theater is a blast. Although the story reminds me of some films, the way Harish Durairaj has acted in the screenplay makes me enjoy and laugh till the end.
Arjun Das scores the scene where he mimics Superstar Rajinikanth and mimics himself as the nearby EP officer VTV Ganesh. All the scenes where money is thrown in the E B office are perfectly matched. Similarly, the tollgate scam and the water current idea that he sets up to save the child in the 2nd half are fake.
If you see that Arjun Das is the one who cheats like this, Anna Ben, who plays the heroine, turns whatever she cheats into her business and earns money. They are just taking place. Can such a scam happen? They are fools if they think so. In the name of quick money, many scams are coming to the family range.
How much greed and greed of people can get them into trouble and the philosophy of cheating and cheating is wrong till the end with lively screenplay through the comedy scenes of Yogi Babu and VTV Ganesh shows the brilliance of the director. There is Music director Shaun Roldan has become a major strength of the film with the background score and the jhudhade which comes in the climax.
The performance of the policeman Pulp Adi Kalyana Sundaram (Nandagopal) who is the villain and his scenes were fresh and believable for the film. Con City is expected to become a box office hit for Tamil cinema this week due to director Harish Durairaj’s craft and commercial acumen, knowing that no matter what is said in today’s date, it can only be achieved if it is full of comedic scenes without fighting.
Some aspects of the already seen films are seen in some places and the interesting things that are reduced in the context of already knowing that this scene will move like this have become a minus for the film. But, there is no doubt that the screenplay, the acting of the actors and the sudden comedy scenes of Kubir will surely make you laugh and leave the theater goers satisfied.
