ICD Bestows Honorary Fellowship on SRM Chancellor Chennai , 23rd Feb 2025
The International College of Dentistry (I CD) Section VI (India, Sri Lanka & Nepal) has c onferred the prestigious Honorary Fellows ship upon Dr. T.R. Paarivendhar, Founder C hancellor of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST).
This distinguished fellowship was presen ted to Dr. Paarivendhar, a distinction rarel y bestowed upon non-dentists/non-medical.
This honour recognises his contribution to the fields of education and healthcare deliv ery.
Dr. Paarivendhar was recognise ed for his exceptional contributions to both fields d uring ICD’s annual meeting and convocatio n, held at SRMIST in Kattankaulathur, in coll aboration with SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital The Honorary Fellows hip was presented by ICD’s Global Preside nt, Dr. Ian M. D oyle, and ICD Section VI Pre sident, Dr. Meera Verma, among other distin guished guests.In his acceptance speech, Dr. Paarivendhar highlighted the unique im portance of dentistry, stating that it plays a vital role in helping individuals walk up right , speak clearly, and laugh with confidence. He expressed heartfelt gratitude t o ICD for honoring him, a non-medical professional, with such a prestigious reco gnition.He also emphasised the humanitarian work being carried out at SRM Kattankulathur Dental College, where dental care is provided free of charge to the underprivileged. “We don’t just treat the poor; we make them smile.
