
Shree Jain Sahayak Samiti Organised Webe Mega Mahila Mela CHENNAI The city witnessed an extraordinary celebration of female enterprise and community spirit on Sunday, 24th May 2026, as the much-anticipated Maha Mega Mahila Mela – WeBe Mela successfully concluded at the Y.M.C.A. (A/C), Royapettah. Organised under the visionary banner of Shree Jain Sahayak Samiti, the day-long event. stood true to its powerful theme: “Women Empowerment Beyond Entrepreneurship”. The grand inauguration ceremony was graced by prominent Guests of Grace, including Shri D.N. Kar, IRS (Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Chennai), Thiru Dhinakaran, IPS (ADGP, Operations, Tamil Nadu), and Smt. R. Uma Maheshwari (Armed Forces Headquarters Civil Service, Addl. Secretary, Govt. of TN).
Shree Jain Sahayak Samiti provided 400 free stalls exclusively to women entrepreneurs spanning all communities. From vibrant clothing boutiques, handlooms, and creative games to artisanal food stalls, the venue transformed into a bustling, dynamic commercial hub. Women entrepreneurship stood out as the ultimate highlight of the day, offering these business owners a massive, rent-free platform to showcase their talents, network with industrial think-tank leaders, and scale up their brands.










































The response from the public was nothing short of historic, with an estimated 15,000 people streaming through the gates throughout the day, creating an energetic and electrifying atmosphere. Families and friends from across Chennai filled the air-conditioned hall to enjoy shopping, food stalls, and interactive games, making it a spectacular Sunday outing.
The day featured an enlightening Tech-Talk panel consisting of industrial and financial think-tank leaders. Following this, the prestigious Shashaktham Stree Awards ceremony commenced at 02:30 PM to celebrate inspiring female achievers. The award ceremony was graced by Esteemed Guests, Thiru Shankar, I.P.S. (A.D.G.P, Prisons, Tamil Nadu) and Mr. Manjit Singh (Gen. Secretary & Correspondent, Guru Nanak College and School). Later in the evening, the grand event concluded with a formal Valedictory Ceremony at 06:00 PM, which was highly honored by the Guests of Grace, Shri C. Murugesan, I.R.S. and Shri P.K. Senthil Kumar, I.R.S..
