Announces The Establishment of Mod el Anganwadi Centre To Ensure Better He althcare For Women and Children*

In a fresh healthcare initiative, Upasa na Kamineni Konidela, Vice Chairpers on of Apollo Hospitals, recently annou nced th he establishment of Model Ang anwadi  Centre at Pithampur am on th e occassion of Chairman Dr. Prathap C Reddy’s 9 3rd birthday. This new initia tive looks af ter empowering women a nd ensuring ch ildren’s health, by impr oving sanitation, hygiene, and Nutritio n.

It focuses on providing maternal and child healthcare for the critical first 1 000 days, and personalised nutritional inter ventions to ensure zero malnutr ition and reduce maternal and infant mortality to zero.

 

Beyond healthcare, the initiative also fo cuses on customised curriculums f or bot h mothers and children, empow wering fa milies with knowledge on h ealth, hygien e, and early childhood ed ucation. It also includes the provision of clearly defined jobs for Anganwadi workers and staff, and the deployment of digital health records for tracking t he health outcomes of women and chil dren. It aims at sustainability, holding regular workshops to eng age fathers, families, and local communities in sup porting women and children . Locat ed in Pawan Kalyan’s constituency, this in itiative ensures high visibility, with th e potential for nationwide implementa ation through the Prime Minister o nce proven successful.

On the 93rd birthday of Chairman Dr. Prathap C Reddy, a phased initiative wi ll be undertaken to beautify and enhan ce 1 09 Anganwadi Centres in Pithamp ur district. Through this thoughtful ini tiative, Upasana Kamineni Konidela lo oks forward to redefining Anganwadi Centres by addressing healthcare, nut rition, educat ion, empowerment, and sustainability, a nd creating a health e cosystem that sets a benchmark for w omen and child devellopment progress nationwide.
