Leslie Carvalho was born and raised in Ban angalore and went to school and college th ere. He spent a year in Germany on a cultur al exchange programme and then studied f ilmmaking at the New York Film Academy.
His student film, Cherish & I won several aw ards.
He wrote, produced and directed his debut feature, 'The Outhouse' which was a warded the 'Aravindan Puruskaram' and 'The Gollap udi Srinivas National Award' for best debuta nt director.
